Will a STEREO David Clark headset work in a piper cherokee?
I got a stereo headset for Christmas (David Clark). I can't switch it to mono like my shitty old ASA. Will it work in a piper cherokee? (By the way.. I'm talking about an older Cherokee late 70's or early 80's)
Headset model is David Clark H10-13s
I fly in Cherokees with various headsets - mono David Clark, stereo Bose Aviation X, stereo DRE-6000. The latter two have a stereo/mono switch which I need to put in MONO position. If your David Clark does not have such switch, my assumption is that it automatically detects whether is should work in mono or stereo mode (or it has a mono/stereo switch someplace you're not aware of, as it the case for the Bose). After all, stereo is not a standard across the entire fleet (though it is with new planes). I would be shocked if David Clark didn't take care of this. If you give the exact model, maybe I could find the instructions online.
