We know that water is made up of hydrogen and oxygen. Water is split into its constituent hydrogen and oxygen when exposed to the process of electrolysis. However, the gasoline we use today is just as volatile as hydrogen. Automobiles contribute a lot in environmental pollution. Another advantage is that it helps in reducing the pollution levels in the atmosphere. When the internal combustion engine uses fossil fuels, they emit hazardous chemicals and gases like carbon monoxide, carbon deposits, soot etc. into the air. These chemicals stay in the air and end up causing various environmental disasters. With a hydrogen-powered car, the emission is just water vapor which means practically no harmful waste product has been produced.

Besides being advantageous to our environment and to ourselves in terms of less expense, water-powered cars have another advantage. They may make our car more durable. Research suggests that water and hydrogen are not as hard on your engine as fossil fuels therefore it is likely to last longer and to have fewer problems. That also means less money spent on repairs and possibly a higher resell value.

With continuous depletion of fossil fuels, and rise in prices of petrol and gas the need to have a fuel that is sufficient and less expensive is arising everyday. Whenever the human race has faced a challenge like this, it has always emerged triumphant giving to mankind a new invention. Even in this battle between Man and Scarcity we are sure to see Man as the victor as usual.
